You will have the opportunity to work on inspiring topics and rewarding tasks while putting your theoretical knowledge into practice. Prior practical experience can be helpful but is not a prerequisite. Internships at Dr. Oetker run for a minimum of three months and a maximum of six months. Have you successfully completed an internship with us? Then you are in with a good chance of writing your bachelor’s or master’s thesis with us.

First things first: Once you have worked in our company as an intern or trainee, you can write your bachelor’s or master’s thesis with us.

Your topic suggestion: Present your idea to your contact in the department. Together, you can discuss whether the topic might be a good fit.

Be it on-site or from home: Depending on your topic, we will discuss and decide together where you will write your thesis.

We give you the time you need: In general, we can support you with knowledge and experience for up to six months.

Have you completed your Bachelor’s degree and want to gain practical experience before starting your Master’s? Then the Oetker Group’s Gap Year program is perfect for you. Two exciting internships in two of our group companies await you. This way, you will gain insights into different areas and sectors of the Oetker Group and continue to broaden your work experience.

We like to stay in touch with apprentices or students who were a good match. Our "Stay in Touch" program opens a wide range of opportunities for you during your studies and beyond – for example, a direct entry role or a traineeship.

As a member of the "Stay in Touch" program, you will be updated on current job openings and internal news from the Oetker Group. We also give you the chance to participate in events and seminars where you can meet other passionate individuals and exchange ideas. 

We advertise our Trainee positions, including information about their specific focus approximately six months before the start date. If you can’t find a suitable vacancy, you are welcome to register in our application system and submit a job search request. We will let you know as soon as a suitable vacancy becomes available.

Next start: November 1, 2026

As a trainee, you can design your trainee program and select your next placement from national and international teams. In each of your assignments, you will be an integral part of the team, taking on responsibility and achieving compelling results with your colleagues. You will leave your comfort zone and develop both personally and professionally in the process.

1. Online Application

2. Interview via MS Teams

After the application phase has ended, we will get back to you as soon as possible. If your profile matches what we are looking for, you will meet us in an initial interview via MS Teams, together with a representative from People & Culture and one or two colleagues from your focus area. If both sides see potential for more, the next step follows: our Recruiting Day.

3. Recruiting Day on site

On Recruiting Day, you take the next step. You can expect another interview as well as a group task and an individual task. This gives you deeper insights into our company, the opportunity to meet more colleagues, and to get to know our campus in person. After the Recruiting Day, we will contact you by phone and maybe your future with us as part of our trainee community will soon begin.
