Social Projects

Our global commitment

We help where help is most needed.

The company’s founder, Dr. August Oetker, and his wife Caroline Oetker already supported various charitable projects at the beginning of the 20th century. The welfare of children and families was particularly dear to their hearts. In addition, they have always felt responsible for their employees as well as their fellow citizens and made generous financial contributions to various charitable projects. Guided by this core principle, Dr. Oetker supports people in need and the voluntary work of its employees – in both small and large projects around the world. The company also maintains a long-standing partnership with SOS Children's Villages.

Commitment beyond borders

Our Dr. Oetker subsidiaries are committed to supporting the communities in which they live. They help people in need, promote cultural and educational projects and provide support in form of donations, for example in times of pandemics or natural catastrophes.

What we produce too much of, we donate to social causes.

We never throw away excess food. Instead, we donate the surplus to various social organizations. Through other various projects and initiatives focusing on the issue of food waste, our teams also help to prevent waste.

Take, for example, our proud partnership with Foodbank Australia, the largest hunger-relief charity in Australia, which we regularly supply with our products. In 2020, the number of people in Australia who rely on food donations increased by 29%. We help provide local people with a regular supply of food.
